This band got their start in the late 80's playing fired up surf and hot-rod tunes. To date they have six full-length releases available, plus a greatest hits CD. They have recorded for the best labels in the biz - Norton, Estrus, Hillsdale...and now Double Crown! We put out a 7" single for them back in November, 1998 - 'Since You Went Away' b/w 'Come On Down To My Boat'. This 7" quickly sold out the following year. In 1999 they appeared on our compilation: 'Takin' Out The Trash: A Tribute To The Trashmen', contributing their version of "Bird Dance Beat". Now in 2002 we have released a 24-track CD called "MAJOR CHAOS!" This rarities compilation contains songs from throughout their career, including a bunch of songs previously unreleased.

Here's what the press has said about 'Since You Went Away/Come On Down To My Boat':
""Since You Went Away" is almost a rapid-fire takeoff of "When Will I Be Loved" with quick proto surf/rockabilly guitar runs meeting up with Buddy Holly-style harmony vocals. And another curveball out of nowhere: Davie Allan appears on backup vocals! The B-side shows Deke Dickerson's command of sixties vocal pop melodies about as strong as his penchant for Pabst Blue Ribbon as he smoothly navigates a cover of the minor '60's hit by Every Mother's Son." - Seth Wimpfheimer, Cool & Strange Music
"Two covers from these Show-Me's that prove they can't miss, courtesy of Bellingham's other surf label. "Since You Went Away" features pretty nimble lead Deke Dickerson guitar, but the B-side is the true testament. I can't stand the original, but the Youth do a pretty bearable job of it. Davie Allan guest appears on backing vocals. You'd think someone would've stuck a guitar in his hand, but then again, who needs it?" - Multiball
"Also available is a new 7" from the Double Crown label. Taken from the same recording session as Youth Runs Wild, features 2 songs of classic Untamed Youth. Also features none other than Mr. Fuzz (Davie Allan) on BGV's." - Motorcycho
"The Youth belt a killer disc here. The A-side has Deke twanging away in the vocals department. The production is matched to the performance. Unfortunately the mix drowns out the organ. The solo is pretty crazed. The B-side has more prominent keys with the band going in a NW direction." - Trash Times
"What can I say about these guys that hasn't already been said. Two more vocal numbers are offered up here for your consumption. Both of these cuts are covers. "Since You Went Away" is an uptempo toe tapper, while "Come On Down To My Boat" is a slower but steady little ditty that y'all should know" - Dead End Radio Reviews
'Since You Went Away/Come On Down To My Boat' has been played stations all over the world, including:
WMFO (Medford, MA) - Played 4 Times, KOOP (Austin, TX) - Played 2 Times, KDHX (St. Louis), KSYM (San Antonio, TX), KUGS (Bellingham, WA), KFAI (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN), WREK (Atlanta, GA), WUSB (Stony Brook, NY) - Played 3 Times, WHTG (Asbury Park, NJ), KSYM (San Antonio, TX) - Played 4 Times
