Here's what the press has said about 'Super Six':

This six song CD collects previously unissued tracks from 1999 to 2001. Satisfying!

Six track mini-album from the Californian Instrumetal Surf Supremos. Sizzling stuff including covers of Link Way and Bobby Fuller.

It's a commonly held concept that the surf community (and by extension, the surf-rock, and perhaps surf-nazi, community) can be split into 2 camps: namely, drug addicts and health nuts. After studying the Dynotones Super Six album art at considerable length, I'm gonna put 'em down as the former, although it should be mentioned that their chemical canyon appears to be grain alcohol hewn. So, while our heroes appear to be traveling in a chemically inconvenienced lane, it is a legal one.

Its also been said that in life, those who do not understand history are doomed to repeat it.

Luckily for those who detest bumper sticker truisms, the Dynotones turn this notion around and kick its cloying on the tongue ass out the door.

For those lucky enough to know of surf legend Dick Dale (or mass media enough to have seen Pulp Fiction's opening scene), the Dynotones righteously stylized rhythms will be proof positive that those who understand history can also lovingly replicate it.

This album is no slacker in the shorts-hell, tracks like "Whittier Blvd" and "Branded" made me want to grab my board, head up to Tofino, BC, throw a pot of boiling water on the fire and surf till my balls need a good boiling too. All in all, a true homage to the greats of the surf rock genre and the great blue water. Let the locals rip and the margaritas blend!
