The Concussions - Magic Fingers CD

It's the mighty new CD by Michigan surf combo The Concussions! Twelve great new tunes, eleven originals plus a cover of the Beatles tune "And I Love Her". It's all wrapped up in our first digipak CD case and was produced by the band and mixed by the band and Pete Curry of Los Straitjackets. They've been tearing up stages all over their home state and made an explosive appearance at Eddie Angel's Exotica Fest last year, opening for the likes of The Neanderthals and The Trashmen!

Tracks: Bulletproof - Think Pink - Allskate - Stiletto - Curb Feelers - Last Regrets & Moist Towelettes - Beach Ball - A Booguru - Tillie The Soiler - Guitorgan - And I Love Her - Mod Monster.

Here's what the press and radio have said about "Magic Fingers":

Pure and filthy at the same time. Twelve short instrumental cuts on "Magic Fingers" overflow with a Joe Meek-style gamut of emotions from Tarantino pathos to Lone Ranger justice; charming neon-lit bubblegum diner to shadowy swamp creature molestation!

-Pete Bruinsma, WYCE Music Director

Maybe the most vinyl-sounding CD yet. The Concussions' surf-guitar mastery gets enhanced by guitarist/vintage studio owner Dick Chiclet's "let's-make-this-sound-like-a-needle-on-a-groove-in-the-early-60s" vibe. It's impossible to pack more retro rock fun into a single instrumental CD, whether it's an original like "Stiletto" or a cover of The Beatles "And I Love Her."

Rick from The Volcanos says "The new Concussions cd reminds me of when body parts were real!"?

Pete Curry from Los Straitjackets says "How did you get my phone number?"

-A Grand Rapids Press entertainment writer and editor, who's identity we shall protect, has already called for the beheading of all other instrumental bands after hearing the new Concussions cd! Or was that all instrumental bands? We forget.
